Introducing SpringSprang fonts!
“City of Franklin” series will reflect town’s
unique characteristics.
April 23, 2010 – SpringSprang Studio, LLC has begun development of a series of font designs based on it’s host town of historic Franklin, Tennessee, location of the famed Civil War “Battle of Franklin.”
“Firehouse” is the first of the “City of Franklin” series and is now available from the SpringSprang site for FREE through August 31, 2010, when it will become available for purchase as a part of the series.*
*UPDATE: August 13 – We’ve been so busy this summer that we haven’t got around to working on additions to the series, so we’re extending the free download period until we do. Enjoy!
Designer John Trauscht says, “Franklin has so many elements from which to be inspired. Because of it’s historic nature and down-home sensibilities, I want the integrity of the designs to remain as authentic as possible.”
“There are a variety of Civil-War era locations in the area that we will be studying for the series,” says Trauscht. “But not every design will be so historic. Franklin also has a unique character that blends rural and urban elements that will be represented,” he says.
The “Firehouse” design is based on the painted window type of the Williamson County Fire & Rescue house in downtown Franklin on Main Street, a stone’s throw from the SpringSprang office.
There are two fonts, Solid and Highlight. Currently, only the Mac version is available. You can read more about its design and development HERE.

January 20, 2010 – SpringSprang Studio is pleased to announce the launch of a new blog at springsprang.wordpress.com, featuring posts covering a variety of subjects that may or may not be suitable for our regular website.
On it, we will discuss topics such as the details or rationale behind unusual projects or favorite designs, we’ll provide opinions on the gear or software that we use, report observations as they relate to our industry, or maybe even tell you what we think of the latest pop culture phenomena.
Our springsprang.com site will remain focused on the core of our business, whereas our blog will provide balance to our communication efforts by giving us an outlet for a greater breath and frequency of expression. We hope you’ll come back often to check on what’s on our minds.

SPRINGSPRANG STUDIO
CELEBRATES FIRST YEAR IN BUSINESS
Thank you!
January 14, 2010 – As you know, the first year of any new business brings many challenges, and particularly during a global economic meltdown! We are extremely proud of what we’ve accomplished as a team in 2009. We know we wouldn’t have done any of it if it weren’t for our great clients. We couldn’t be more excited about what 2010 has in store, and we’re looking forward to serving you! (and all your friends, and their friends too!)
Freshened Website
We’ve spruced up the look of the site, added a few new projects to our Portfolio, and changed our Photography section to Digital Media, incorporating web development and more. We’ve also added our individual bios to the About Us page.
On a technical note, our site now supports Internet Explorer 7 and above. Now, our Windows friends can enjoy the site as it was intended to be!
